Storm Inside

I want it to rain
I want to turn this drizzle into a deluge
that will rage through the night
I want it to pour

I want it to flood
Sweeping up innocent bystanders
so that they too will be humbled
I want it to overflow

I want the wind to blow
Louder than nine jet plane engines
preparing for their final take-off
I want the wind to howl

I want to hear the thunder
The only sound that can drown out
the agonized screaming inside me
I want to hear the clash

I want a hurricane
I want to wash away my regrets
and sorrows in the torrent
I want a storm
